The Giant Sleeping Beneath the Kingdom Opened One Eye During the War

The kingdom had survived countless wars.

Its walls had stood for centuries against invasions, rebellions, and armies far larger than its own. But during the final battle against the eastern empire, something happened that no one could explain.

The ground began to shake.

At first, soldiers assumed it was siege weapons striking the outer walls. But the tremors grew stronger with every passing minute. Horses panicked. Towers cracked. Entire sections of the battlefield split apart beneath thousands of soldiers.

Then the earth opened.

What appeared beneath the kingdom was impossible.

Ancient stories had once claimed a giant slept deep below the capital long before humans built their cities there. Most considered it nothing more than myth created to frighten children.

Until that day.

As the battlefield collapsed, soldiers saw a shape beneath the earth larger than any castle ever built. Stone and dirt slid away slowly, revealing part of a colossal face buried beneath the kingdom itself.

Then one eye opened.

A massive glowing eye stared upward through the shattered ground.

The battle stopped instantly.

Entire armies stood frozen in silence, unable to move as the giant watched the war above it.

Some soldiers fell to their knees praying. Others fled without orders.

But the giant did nothing.

After several terrifying moments, the eye slowly closed again.

The tremors ended.

And the battlefield became silent.

The war was forgotten after that day.

Because people no longer feared enemy kingdoms.

They feared what might happen if the giant ever fully woke up.
