The Prince Entered the Forbidden Forest Alone… But Something Else Came Back
The Forbidden Forest had been sealed for generations.
Ancient warnings surrounded it long before the kingdom was built. Travelers avoided its borders completely, and even soldiers refused to enter after dark. Stories claimed the forest was alive—that it watched, listened, and sometimes took people who wandered too far inside.

No one who entered alone had ever returned.
Until the prince did.
The young prince entered the forest during the first days of winter without guards or permission. Some believed he was searching for proof that the old legends were false. Others whispered that he had gone there after hearing voices calling his name from the trees at night.

For three days, he was missing.
Search parties found nothing except strange footprints that suddenly ended deep within the forest.
Then, just before dawn on the fourth day, the prince returned.
Alone.

At first, people celebrated. But something felt wrong immediately.
He barely spoke. He avoided sunlight. Servants claimed animals became aggressive whenever he entered a room. Even the royal dogs refused to go near him.

Then came the nightmares.
The prince began describing places inside the forest that should not exist—massive ruins beneath the roots of ancient trees and creatures moving in the dark between them.
But the most terrifying part came later.

Because people eventually realized something impossible.
The prince returned from the forest.
But his reflection sometimes didn’t move with him.
